As you visit our web site, I would like to welcome you, in this electronic manner, to our Christian and Catholic community of St. John's in Duluth and St. Joseph's in Gnesen.

If you are looking for a parish community with all the answers, you will probably be disappointed in us. However, that is not to say that we are without any direction at all. Our direction is provided by Jesus Christ in the Word of Scripture and His Sacramental presence in our midst. It is also present to us in the rich Tradition and teaching authority of our Church.

As a community of pilgrims journeying to fullness of life with Father, we use both Scripture and Tradition as our road maps along the way. Our life journey is filled with unknowns: with joy and pain, with success and failure, with all the ordinary and sometimes extraordinary events of life. But in every way, we seek to let the light of Jesus illuminate our path and guide us through these events to the Father.

If you are looking for a community with which to journey through life; if you are looking for a community that will support you and challenge you; if you are looking for a community that draws its strength from the Word of God and the Eucharist, then we would love to have you as a fellow pilgrim.
